Shakopee Public Schools is looking for a 0.47 FTE Physical Education (PE) Teacher / 0.53 FTE Building Substitute for the 2024-2025 school year.
Job Summary:
Provide instruction in content area in accordance with each student’s ability and create a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Establish effective working relationships with students and parents, work collaboratively with other staff members. When not teaching Physical Education, candidate will plan, teach, and carry out all functions related to teaching in an elementary school classroom setting. The principal will provide you with your daily assignment, and you will be expected to follow the daily schedule.
Qualifications:
- Valid MN teaching license in Physical Education and Health
- Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction
- Strong classroom management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff
Working Conditions:
Classroom, office, lifting, sitting, standing, pushing, pulling, keyboarding, etc.
