Up to $10,000 Hiring and Retention Bonus Possible: through a grant from The Come Teach in Minnesota Program, licensed teachers who are American Indian or people of color and who move to Minnesota may be eligible for a hiring bonus of up to $5,000. Supervisor of Position:  Administrator/ Alternative Education Supervisor

Description: Saints Academy is a small Area Learning Center with only one teacher per content area. Class sizes are typically in the low to mid teens. The General Science Teacher for Saints Academy will be asked to teach science courses across multiple disciplines/graduation requirements, including sciences outside of their license area via Innovative Program Permission, as well as elective courses of their own design. Preference will be given to candidates with multiple science licenses, degrees that indicate broad science knowledge, or experience teaching science courses outside of their license area.

Qualifications:  Must have one of the following licenses: 

  • Chemistry (grades 9-12)
  • Earth and space science (grades 9-12)
  • Life science (grades 9-12)
  • Physics (grades. 9-12)
  • Agricultural Education (grades 5-12)

  • Shows commitment to stay current with best practices and professional development in Science Education.
  • Participate in school wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (individual and school wide acknowledgments and activities).
