NOTICE OF POSITION OPENING
TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS COORDINATOR

Eden Prairie School District is seeking applicants to serve on the IT team as the Technology Systems Coordinator.  The Technology Systems Coordinator is a technical leader and plans, implements, and manages enterprise technology systems to fulfill academic, instructional and operational needs..  

Eden Prairie is a school district with 1,400 employees serving approximately 9,000 students. The district is recognized for its quality initiatives and its leadership in educational programming.  

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, and/or 5 years equivalent work experience required.

Experience:

  • 5 years experience managing enterprise technology systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hardware and software management.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and managing technology projects and developing enterprise technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in training and leading technology personnel in projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to learn, train, and support new technologies.
  • Strong technical knowledge is preferred in the following areas:
    • cybersecurity fundamentals and patch management
    • wired and wireless networking,
    • operating system management and configuration,
    • database administration,
    • directory services,
    • enterprise application deployment and support,
    • server virtualization,
    • computer hardware,
    • phone system management,
    • network and systems security,
    • file and print services,
    • disaster recovery
    • data storage management
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and guide individuals and teams.
  • Organizational and managerial skills.
  • Demonstrated communication skills including writing, speaking, and listening.
  • Ability to involve others in work and inform others of decisions and events.
  • Skills in team building and collaboration.
  • Ability to resolve conflict.
  • Ability to think broadly, manage multiple priorities, and delegate.
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Benefit Overview:

Position Reports to:     
Director of Technology

Salary Range:
EPSS, Level I – $90,115 

Vacation
20 days/year

Holidays
11 paid holidays/year

Sick Leave
14 days per year cumulative to 254 days

Medical/Hospitalization: 
Medical/hospitalization insurance with low premiums for  single coverage; generous contributions provided by the employer towards family coverage premium.

Dental Insurance
Dental insurance is fully paid by the employer for single or family coverage.

Life Insurance
Life insurance fully paid by the employer for an amount equal to twice the employee’s annual salary

Long Term Disability Insurance
Long term disability fully paid by the employer.

Tax Sheltered Annuity Matching Program
District TSA match up to 2.25% of employee’s base salary.

Tuition Reimbursement
50% tuition for up to 3 credits per academic session for pre-approved coursework
