Start Date:  2024-2025 School Year

The position is full-time, and split between Mahtomedi Middle School and Mahtomedi High School.  
Salary and benefits are part of the Master Agreement.  Speech/Language Pathologists who earn/maintain their Certificate of Clinical Competence will receive a stipend of $1,500 in addition to their base salary. 

Minimum Requirements:
Must have Speech Language Pathologist teaching license or be able to obtain the appropriate license from PELSB, Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board. 

Qualifications: Previous experience providing speech services with secondary level students.  Proven leadership skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students and families.  Must have the ability to collaborate with administration and staff to reach district and building goals.  Excellent communication skills with students, families and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify the needs of students through formal and informal assessments
  • Follow due process timeline requirements of special education 
  • Complete Third Party Billing responsibilities
  • Plan, develop and implement appropriate lessons to ensure the achievement of student growth
  • Communicate with students, parents and staff on regular basis on student progress
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
  • Update all necessary records accurately as required by laws, district policies and school regulations
  • Attend department, school and parent meetings or functions
  • Other job-related duties as assigned
