Position Title: Special Education Teacher; ABS, ASD, DCD, LD, EBD
Primary Location: Multiple Vacancies
Assignment Specifications: 1.0fte; 184 Days; 2024-25 School Year
Group Affiliation/Policy: Teachers
Classification: C-5-1
Exempt Status: Exempt
 
Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Building Principal, the licensed teacher is responsible for delivering and instructing students in instructional material; evaluating and assessing student progress against instructional outcomes and objectives; monitoring and evaluating student behavior; completing due process paperwork; participating in individual education plan meetings with colleagues and parents; participating and collaborating with other instructional professionals, administrators, parents, counselors, and other district personnel concerning student needs, issues and district learning initiatives, curriculum, and building issues.
 
Qualifications: Qualified candidates will hold, or be eligible to hold, a Special Education license issued by the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board. Potential licenses may be, but are not limited to: Academic Behavior Strategist, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, and/or Emotional Behavior Disorders.
