The SouthWest Metro Intermediate District #288 has a Full-Time opening starting 8/19/24 for a Special Education Teacher in the Buffalo PRIDE Transitions program located at Buffalo, MN.

Transition is a program for students ages 18-22 with cognitive, developmental and behavioral challenges. 
           
Description:
Special Education Teacher, 8 hours a day for 185 Contract Days. 

Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.

Pay & Benefits: 
Starting pay at $48,076 based on education and experience. Competitive and comprehensive benefit package available.
  
Qualifications:

  • ASD, ABS or DCD license is preferred (Open to Tier 2 License Eligible Candidates).
  • Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff.
  • Training in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) and Restrictive Procedures is required and provided by the District.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams.
