East Grand Forks School District is seeking applicants for a High School Social Studies Instructor. 

East Grand Forks, MN is a city with a population of approximately 8,500 and located in the heart of the Red River Valley in Northwest Minnesota. It borders Grand Forks, ND and is very close to the University of North Dakota and Northland Community and Technical College. The district’s K-12 enrollment is approximately 1900 students as well as a thriving preschool program. The district has four separate school buildings housing grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have earned a B.A. or B.S. degree and current Minnesota State Secondary Social Studies (5-12 or 7-12) licensure, or ability to obtain said licensure.
Candidate must possess highly effective interpersonal skills and the ability work harmoniously with a wide range of students, families, and staff members.
Additional demonstrated qualifications include: commitment to the equitable education of all students; creative planning and organizational skills, and experience working with and celebrating diverse learners.

Reporting Relationship:
The Social Studies Instructor reports directly to the Buildilng Principal

Basic Function of the Position:
The high school social studies instructor will be given the great responsibility of continuing our long standing commitment to academic excellence.  This will be achieved through the design and delivery of social studies instruction that ensures the success of a diverse population of learners. In addition, you will be responsible for building positive relationships and working collaboratively with students, parents, and staff members to foster a positive experience for the entire learning community.
