Description
Rothsay Public School is seeking applicants for a 1.0 FTE physical education instructor to teach in our K-12 school beginning in the 2024-25 school year. Rothsay is conveniently located on I-94, forty miles southeast of Fargo-Moorhead. Small classes, a growing school, and an excellent teaching staff make our school a fantastic place to work. A Minnesota teaching license is required. The head boys basketball coaching position is available as well with this position as coaching is preferred, but not required.
Qualifications for the position:
- Teaching students the required curricula (standards) using strategies that foster thinking, reasoning and problem solving. A wide variety of PE activities are expected from the successful candidate.
- Collaborate with peers to develop, plan, and implement best practices based on the needs/abilities of the students.
- Create lessons and learning environments that are safe, respectful, and interesting.
- The willingness to use technology in lesson presentations.
- Create open communication with parents regarding student progress and needs.
- Have a working knowledge of Google Classroom or the ability and willingness to learn how to use this platform.
