Position Summary:
The lead teacher will be the on-site contact for families, community, and transportation. The lead teacher will float across all preschool classrooms to support student needs and interventions.  School Readiness provides a developmentally appropriate, play-based environment that stimulates student development and mastery using the Early Childhood Indicators of Progress for cognitive, social/emotional, language, literacy and physical/motor development, with an emphasis on skills and routines to support transition of students into Preschool and Kindergarten in the fall.  Each class will serve 12-16 students with instruction occuring from 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM, Monday through Thursday.

Qualifications:
A valid Minnesota teaching license in early childhood, with a 3-5 Pre-K endorsement is required. Required curriculum and assessment experience includes MN Early Childhood Indicators of Progress. COR Advantage, Fountas and Pinnell, Everyday Math, Visual Phonics. Second-Step and SMART. Demonstrated use of research-based practices and approaches to ensure all learners achieve at the highest levels also required.

Position Requirements:  
Successful experience in partnering with preschool families around preparing young children for kindergarten entry. Successful candidate must demonstrate ability to work as a team member in a culture of excellence to deliver programs that address the positive development of children and families in diverse populations.  Demonstrated communication and organizational skills required.

FTE/Schedule:
4 hour prep day prior to the start of the program
Monday – Thursday / July 8 – August 1 / 8:15 AM – 11:15 AM

Pay Rate:
Based on Master Agreement
