Work Schedule: 6.5 hours per day, Monday – Friday (student contact days). 2023-2024 School Year
Salary: As per the Paraprofessional Master Contract Salary Schedule
Job Description:
Must demonstrate good communication skills with students
Must have a good understanding of boundaries
Willingness to redirect student behavior constructively
Collaborate with administration and teachers
Ability to walk and be physically active for most of the day
Manage walkie talkies and view video monitors
Manage security systems
Provide safe and secure environment for students and staff
Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements: In order to work as a Special Education Paraprofessional, you must meet the state requirement of being Highly Qualifed prior to your start date. To be considered Highly Qualifed, you must have ONE of the following; a Bachelor’s Degree or an Associates Degree, or 60+ hours of post-secondary education, or a Passing Score on the ParaPro Exam. Please be prepared to submit documentation in support of your qualifications. (Acceptable documentation includes transcripts from the college or a copy of the ParaPro Exam report.)
