Extended School Year (ESY) and Summer School Instructional Assistant – Special Education

Special Education Pupil Support Assistant for Extended School Year (ESY) & Summer School Programs: Hastings School District is looking for Pupil Support Assistants (PSA) for our Extended School Year (ESY) program. Under the direction of the ESY Teacher, Summer School Teacher(s), and Administration, PSAs will provide instructional support and accommodations to students, implement curriculum modifications, assist with behavior management, and provide physical assistance for Activities of Daily Living, as needed. 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with students who have special learning needs
• Successful work experience as a member of a team
• Experience managing student behavior

Expectations: An understanding that there is a commitment to the entire summer program/sessions barring unforeseen circumstances or pre-arrangements.

Dates of Employment: 6/17/2024 – 7/11/2024 (there will be no services during the week of 7/1/2024 to 7/5/2024)

Compensation:  $22.00 per hour
