Position Title: Early Childhood Special Education Teacher
Primary Location: Washington Kosciusko Early Childhood
Assignment Specifications: 1.0fte; 184 Days; 2024-25 School Year
Group Affiliation/Policy: Teachers
Classification: C-5-1
Exempt Status: Exempt
 
Responsibilities: The licensed teacher is responsible for delivering and instructing students in instructional material; evaluating and assessing student progress against instructional outcomes and objectives; participating and collaborating with other instructional professionals, administrators, parents, counselors, and other district personnel concerning student needs, issues, and district learning initiatives, curriculum, and building issues. This person will work in a contained preschool setting and works collaboratively with special education staff to ensure instruction is developmentally appropriate for all students. This individual will attend IEP meetings as necessary. 
 
Qualifications: Qualified candidates will hold or be eligible to hold an Early Childhood Special Education license issued by the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board.

Early childhood offers programs that bring preschool age children together with the goal of offering engaging, nurturing, creative, and learning opportunities in a safe and enriched classroom. Children will explore, create, and learn through developmentally appropriate Creative Curriculum. Staff work with children to develop positive self-image and outstanding academic skills to ensure children are prepared for a successful transition to kindergarten.
