Job Title: Kinderclub Director

Reports to: Director of Operations and Executive Director

 

1.0 FTE/11 month

 

Position Summary: The Kinderclub Director manages, plans, and oversees before and after school care programs and summer camp offerings.

 

Job Duties:

  • Directs Kinderclub

Operations Management

  • Oversee overall functioning of all before- and after-school programming.

  • Implement an effective student check-in/check-out system.

  • Design and implement educational and recreational programming for students.

  • In collaboration with Office Staff, manage schedules and calendar for after-school programming.

  • In collaboration with Kinderclub Team Lead, maintain supplies for Community Education programming.

  • Ensure Kinderclub philosophy and policies are aligned with those of TCGIS as a whole.

 

Staff Management

  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, and training process for new staff.

  • Ensure the program is adequately staffed with qualified employees.

  • Provide on-going training and support for Kinderclub staff.

  • Complete regular performance evaluations.

  • Manage staff schedules.

 

Finance Management

  • In collaboration with the Executive Director, make budgetary decisions on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis.

  • Collaborate with the School Board Treasurer, third party accountant, and Executive Director to manage the Community Education budget.

  • In collaboration with Front Office staff, maintain a monthly ordering and payment system.

 

  • Leadership Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, Dean of Students, and School Nurse to ensure alignment of existing student discipline, health, and safety policies to Community Education programs.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationship with TCGIS parents, and assist in communication with them regarding student behavioral and safety needs or concerns, as well as progress, when program coordinators require assistance

  • Collaborate with instructional and student support staff to align expectations and accommodations across student day

 

Required qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Experience working with elementary-aged children

  • Experience supervising employees

  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2+ experience in employee supervision responsibilities.

  • 2 + years experience in non-profit and/or educational settings.

  • Proficient in use of Google products and Microsoft Office.

  • Fluency in German a plus
