Camp Horizons – Summer Nurse
Dates:Â June 10, 2024 to August 23, 2024
General Duties: Mondays – Fridays Provide nursing care for students with special health needsÂ
Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday per summer calendar, generally 8 hours per day
Responsibilities as nurse at The Camp Horizons Program
– Provide skilled nursing care and treatments (e.g. glucose testing, medication administration, nebulizer/inhaler treatments, etc. )
– Administer CPR and First Aid
– Maintain confidentiality and data privacy
– Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents and staff
– Maintain and update health recordsÂ
– Conduct health care assessment and decision making based on medical knowledge and licensure
Salary:Â Per terms of Nurse Contract
Required Qualifications:Â Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse License, current First Aid and CPR certification, Computer Literacy
Preferred Qualifications:
– Ability to develop good relationships with students and staff
– Ability to work well as a member of a team
– Ability to initiate assigned tasks independently
– Ability to effectively communicate ( oral, electronic and written forms )
– familiar with computer programs for data entry – Microsoft Word, Outlook, Google Docs/Drive , etc
