Independent School District 624 announces an Assistant Director of Early Childhood Programs vacancy at Normandy Park Education Center.  Normandy Park Education Center is our central office for early childhood services.  White Bear Lake Area Schools Early Childhood serves approximately 600+ students in our birth-5 programs. The Assistant Director of Early Childhood Programs works collaboratively with the Early Childhood Special Education Administrator to create a seamless experience for the district’s students and families in our early childhood programs. 

The White Bear Lake Area School District serves all or part of Birchwood, Gem Lake, Hugo, Lino Lakes, Little Canada, Maplewood, North Oaks, Vadnais Heights, White Bear Lake and White Bear Lake Township with six Early Childhood program locations (Birth-K), nine elementary schools (K-5), two middle schools (6-8),  one high school (9-12), an Area Learning Center and a Transition Education Center. The school district, with a total population of more than 65,000 residents serves approximately 9,000 students, Pre k-12. The White Bear Lake Area School District community is considered a second-ring, northeastern suburb of the city of St. Paul, but is within fifteen minutes from either St. Paul or Minneapolis.

Position Description:  The Assistant Director of Early Childhood Programs must be the instructional leader providing quality early education that meets the academic and social needs of our early childhood students in a nurturing environment where uniqueness and diversity are valued, lifelong learning and service is modeled, and all can be successful.  

Education and /or Experience:  
Master’s degree in education leadership, early childhood education, or related field and considerable experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Special Requirements:
Minnesota Administrative License and a license in either Early Childhood Education or Parent Education
