Description:
The Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District has licensed openings for the 2024 summer school program located at Nicollet Middle School. Special Education teachers duties could include student intervention support, classroom support, and small group instructional support.  The ALC grades K-2nd summer program at Sky Oaks Elementary School and grades 3rd-5th at Nicollet Middle School. The calendar and schedule include the following:

Daily Schedule:  Approximately 7:30 am – 3:00 pm Monday through Friday
    
Calendar:
June 12 and 13 Teacher PD Days:  Required PD days are 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Daily schedule:  Approximately 7:30 am – 3:00 pm 

Week 1:  June 17, 18, 20, 21                        Bus Drop off Time:  7:30-7:45
Week 2:  June 24, 25, 26, 27, 28                  Breakfast:  7:30 – 8:00
Week 3:  July 1, 2, 3                                      Lunch:  11:15 – 12:30
Week 4:  July 8, 9, 10, 11                              Bus Pick Up Time: 2:45 – 3:00
Week 5:  July 15, 16, 17, 18                         Student Class Schedule:  8:00 – 2:45        
Week 6:  July 22, 23, 24, 25
Week 7:  July 29, 30, 31, August 1

Requirements: 
Current SPED Teaching License

Preferred Qualifications:
-Preference given to candidates committing to the entire six weeks 
      * Job shares may be possible depending upon schedule and need
-Experience teaching elementary summer school
-Experience with Project-Based Learning at the elementary level
-Experience utilizing data to inform instruction

Rate of pay:  
Per contract $31.25 hourly
Pay for all 30 days at $31.25/hour is approximately $7,187.50

***Summer hours are not guaranteed and reductions may occur based upon enrollment.
