Description
The Transition Assistance Program (TAP) is a Hutchinson Public Schools educational program for young adults with disabilities ranging in age from 18-21 years. TAP is a community-based program emphasizing work experience and independent living skills. The TAP program assists in providing special education programming to increase a student’s ability to live and work as independently as possible. Services are provided in the areas of Jobs and Job Training, Recreation and Leisure, Community Participation, Home Living, and Post-Secondary Options.

This position may be eligible for a hiring incentive payment of up to $2,000 during the first year of employment, a retention incentive payment of up to $1,000 during the second year of employment, a retention incentive payment of up to $1,000 during the third year of employment, and a retention incentive payment of up to $2,000 during the sixth year of employment.Â
