Tutor Education Assistant/ Adventure Club Education Assistant 
FAIR Pilgrim Lane
8.5 hours per day, which includes 8 hours of paid work time and 30 minutes of unpaid lunch time. Approximate schedule: 9:30 AM – 1:30 AM (4 hour Tutor EA) & 2:00 or 6:00 PM ( 4 hour Adventure Club EA) Monday – Friday
Rate of pay 

  • Tutor: $18.47 to $19.68 per hour based on Class 3 of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement for Education Assistants (4 hours)
  • Adventure Club: $16.69 starting per hour, step increases with longevity. Staff currently receiving additional stipends from grant up to $1000! (4 hours)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Tutor 

  • Provide academic support in reading and mathematics.
  • Assist students in classrooms with skill acquisition and completion of assignments.
  • Work with individuals and/or small groups of students in subject areas.
  • Coordinate work for students with the teachers.
  • Supervise students, which may include outdoors, halls, cafeteria and busing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Adventure Club

  • Assist in the development and implementation of an enriching extended-day environment for children enrolled in the Adventure Club School Age Care Program, grades Kindergarten – 5 and our Early Adventures prek childcare program. 
  • Indoor and outdoor supervision of children daily.  We plan the fun!

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED. 
  • Successful experience working with elementary-age children.
  • Credits in education, child development or related education from a university, college or education-based program
  • Excellent observational skills.
  • Flexible personality that allows for unexpected changes in schedules.
  • Able to attend work regularly and report to work in a timely manner.
