Position Title: Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, 1.0 FTE, Long Term Substitute
Assignment Location: Delano, Howard Lake, Waverly, Winsted, and Rockford school district areas
Hours per Day: 8
Schedule: Approximately 12 weeks (September-November 2024)
Anticipated Start Date: Fall 2024
Salary: Competitive salary based on education and experience

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, evaluates the educational needs of assigned students and in some cases, families; provides and evaluates appropriate instructional interventions and curriculum; monitors, documents and reports student progress; and provides parent support services. The Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing will travel between districts, work as a team member for evaluations and services. The Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing will travel between districts, work as a team member for evaluations and services.

REQUIREMENTS:
Current Minnesota licensure for Deaf Hard of Hearing is required. 
Must have a valid MN Driver’s License.

ABOUT MAWSECO:
MAWSECO is an agency of seven-member school districts (Annandale, Dassel-Cokato, Delano, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Litchfield, Maple Lake and Rockford) that have joined together to provide services in the area of special education. The mission of the Cooperative is to provide quality special education leadership, services, and support to its seven-member school districts’ staff, students and families as well as other agencies/districts that purchase its services. The MAWSECO central office is located in Howard Lake, MN which is west of the metro and south of St. Cloud.
