SouthWest Metro Intermediate District #288 has an immediate part-time opening for a high school Family Consumer Science to teach Child Development Associate Certification for our Career and Technical program at our Dean Lakes Education Center in Shakopee, MN.

Description:
High School Family Consumer Science, 2 hours a day for 2nd semester.  Teacher will teach Child Development Associate Certification.

Educate, plan, teach, facilitate, and evaluate students. Assist them in putting together a portfolio to achieve the certification.

Qualifications:

  • Minnesota Teaching License for Family Consumer Science (Willing to consider Out of Field Permissions or Tier 1/Tier 2 License)
  • Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams.

 
Pay & Benefits: 
The pay range for this position is $48,076-$99,188 which is based on education and experience and will be prorated for 0.25 FTE. Benefits for this position include:

  • 403(b) with a District dollar for dollar match
  • TRA (Pension Plan)
