Effective immediately, the Human Resources Department will accept online applications for the position of Talent Development TOSA for the 2024-25 school year.  We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.  Salary placement is based on education and experience as indicated in Teacher’s Collectively Bargained Agreement. 
 
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current valid Minnesota Licensure
  • Required:  3 or more years teaching experience differentiating instruction
  • Preferred: Gifted education certification

Duties:

  • Ensure the identification and access of rigorous courses and talent development services through a equitable lens
  • Provide coordination and expertise for the purpose of ensuring systemic and continuous K-12 programming
  • Create and evaluate programming for talent development
  • Possess and apply knowledge of the educational needs of talent development and gifted students
  • Ability to effectively design and implement lesson through collaboration, co-teaching and direct instruction
  • Flexibility and confidence in working with students, parents and staff
  • Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation
  • Monitor current research at state/ national information for the purpose of ensuring program implementation of best practices and in compliance of statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
  • Ability to collect and interpret data
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Prepare, administer and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students’ progress
  • Coordinate and conduct professional development opportunities
  • Attend professional development to maintain and improve professional competence.
  • Other duties assigned by the executive director of educational service

Technical:

  • Proficiency in computer skills including google suite and Microsoft office.
  • Working effectively with data and research

Interpersonal:

  • Handle confidential information professionally.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, meet deadlines, follow complex directions and adapt to changing demands, activities, and workloads.
