Summer School Teacher – Extended School Year (ESY)

Description:
Licensed summer positions open in the following areas:

ECSE and K-12 Special Education Teachers – LD, EBD, DCD, ASD

Dates:  July 7- 31, 2025 (Monday-Thursday; ECSE Tuesday and Thursday)
               

Time:  K-12 Teacher Base Program – 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.  (students 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.)

           ECSE Teacher – 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (students 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. )

Required (paid) pre-summer meeting:  May 19 2025, 4:15 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Virtually

Job Summary:
Carry out IEP goals and objectives as established by the ESY determination documentation.

Teachers will be required to attend a 1-hour (paid) meeting in May and will have 6 hours total of prep/set-up time prior to the start of ESY. Teachers will also have 2 hours of prep/clean-up at the end of the session if needed.

Number of positions to be filled is not yet determined and will depend on enrollment and district needs.

Qualifications:

All applicants must have a current MN Special Education teaching license or be willing and eligible to obtain an Out of Field Permission (OFP).  

Working Conditions:

Classroom, office, lifting (up to 50 lbs), sitting, pulling, standing, keyboarding, etc.
