Summer of Service Instructor

 
Primary Objective of Position:   
To educate students about the importance of community service and lead them on volunteer service trips throughout the Twin Cities and ensure a safe and fun environment. Camp age groups will vary, one group for 4-5th graders and another group for 6-8th graders.

Assignment:                     
35 hours a week during the following two weeks:
June 24-28, 2024
July 15-19, 2024

Wages:                                
starting at $20
 
Job Responsibilities:

1. To lead discussions on the importance of volunteering and community needs.
2. To ensure all students are transported to volunteer locations in a safe and timely manner.
3. To carry out assigned activities in relationship to the volunteer project.
4. To ensure the proper use and care of the facilities and equipment used.
5. To enforce safety rules and take disciplinary action when necessary.
6. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

 
Job Qualifications:

1. Demonstrated knowledge of working with students in a school setting.
2. Ability to work with groups of students and adults.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with the public.
4. Ability to work under minimal supervision.
