Position Summary:
Provide classroom supplemental support for migrant students, focusing on credit accrual and recovery for students in grades 9-12. This position will include providing content, language and experiential learning in the classroom. Teachers need to commit to 3 days of planning and 5 weeks of instruction. The only absences that will be approved during this time are for illness. Hiring is dependent on enrollment.
Qualifications:
Valid MN Teaching License required. Bi-lingual skills in Spanish and experience serving underserved youth and strong Reading and/or English Language background desired. Current Owatonna Public School District employee preferred. Consistent and reliable attendance.
Schedule:
- Professional development Planning and Prep: June 20 – 22, 2023
- Student Contact: June 26 – July 27, 2023
- Monday – Thursday
- Student Days Run 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Teacher Schedule 7:45 AM – 3:15 PM
