Summer Enrichment Assistant – Community Education

Job Summary: 

• Join our team to assist teachers in enrichment classes and/or work at one of our sites as a recreation assistant.
• Support teachers in the classroom and assist in implementing daily lessons.
• Set up supplies and project set up/ take down on a daily basis.
• Guide students through projects and learning activities.
• Work as a team to lead outdoor activities and games on our playground and at local parks.
• Supervise students on field trips to local attractions.
• Provide a warm and welcoming environment for all students and their families.
• Maintain a clean and safe learning environment for students.
• Support Community Education leaders and programs on a daily basis.
   

Qualifications:

• Fun, nurturing, energetic and caring.
• Organized and flexible. 
• First-aid and/or CPR certification encouraged.
• Experience volunteering or working with school age children ages 5-12 appreciated.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other staff members.
• Begin work shift on time and work scheduled hours.
