We offer an early learning center for preschool and kindergarten students, including a community education center. This center includes many outdoor and indoor active learning spaces. Jefferson Elementary provides programming for grades 1-4, focusing on small group instruction, responsive classroom, STEM opportunities and core curriculum. We offer a middle school structure and environment for grades 5-8, focused on advisory, exploratory and experiential learning opportunities. Our high school is for grades 9-12, offering college, vocational and work ready courses. We have many opportunities for fine arts and athletics for all students. A Career Technical Education (CTE) Center providing students with opportunities in automotive, welding, manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, construction careers and cabinetry.

Job Description:                    

This position provides diagnostic assessment and screening of speech and language services for all school-age children. Additional duties include creating and implementing individualized learning plans in coordination with regular education teachers and parents. This position is also responsible for completing accurate paperwork including documentation of all assessments and progress of each student. The speech teacher interprets student progress, and routinely communicates with parents and the IEP team to share student progress toward their goals, as well as strengths, weaknesses and/or programs.

Required Qualifications:                       
Must hold a MN Teacher License as an Educational Speech and Language Pathologist
Work collaboratively with other team members and parents

Desired Qualifications:           

  • Prior experience in a school setting is beneficial 
  • Understanding and experience in utilizing instructional best practices to engage students in academic, social, and emotional learning
  • Possess skills in written and oral communications

Dependent on experience; Per Master Agreement
