Description

Kingsland Public Schools has a 1.0 FTE, Special Education Teaching position available for 2024-2025 school year. The opening is anticipated to be a (7-12) high school position. 

The candidate should hold or be eligible for a MN special education licensure. The successful candidate will provide specialized instruction to students in grades 7-12 on IEPs in both the general education and resource room settings.  Special Education teachers are responsible for student testing, evaluations, and writing individual education plans while complying with special education rules and due process requirements.

Preferred candidate will possess or be willing to work toward proficiency in:

  • Experience with aligning curriculum and assessments to the state standards
  • Cooperative professional approach to teaching and learning
  • Willingness to work as part of a highly collaborative team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technology and organization skills
  • Strong classroom and behavior management
  • Skills in differentiating instruction
  • Multiple strategies used to ensure all learners achieve at the highest levels
  • Belief that all students can achieve at high levels and meet high expectations

 

Salary: Based on Master Agreement

Coaching/advisory positions are also available.
