Job Description:
Parnassus Preparatory School, a Minnesota charter school dedicated to high, academic achievement and the classical model of education, seeks to hire a talented and energetic Special Education teacher for the 2024-2025 school year and continuing with expertise and/or interest in classical education.
The ideal candidate would have experience teaching students with a variety of identified learning needs and the flexibility to adapt the general education curricula to meet the specific learning needs of students. A high importance is placed on effective partnering with general education teachers, parents, and the administration.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in special education (SLD and EBD or ASD) is required with dual licensure, experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders and an advanced degree preferred.
- Appropriate MN teaching license is required.
- Ability and willingness to teach the classical trivium and sequence model as defined by the school
- The ability to speak and write clearly and effectively
- Conviction in the values of a rigorous liberal-arts education
- Ability to maintain an orderly classroom
