The SouthWest Metro Intermediate District #288 has an opening, for the 2024-2025 School Year for a Special Education Teacher, Evaluation IEP Writer in Chaska, MN.

Description:

Special Education Teacher, 8 hours a day for 185 Contract Days.  Pro-rated based on hire date. 
 
The Special Education Evaluation/IEP Writer will be responsible for working with IEP teams on special education evaluations and writing IEPs for teachers across the district. They will help to support teachers with special education due process paperwork.   

Pay & Benefits: 
The starting pay is $48,076 and is on education and experience. A competitive and comprehensive benefits package is also available. 
 
Job Summary:
Provide support by working directly with students to increase their academic, social/behavioral, communication, and study skills under the direction of the teacher(s).
 
Qualifications:

  • EBD, DCD, ASD, or ABS license with experience as a classroom special education teacher is preferred.
  • Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams.
  • Stong due process skills and IEP knowledge
