Support Staff | Paraprofessional | Southgate Elementary School

Description

This paraprofessional position will work with students at Southgate Elementary for 6.5 hours per day, 7:45-2:4:5

Paraprofessional Duties:

-Provide assistance to students with special needs

-Provide classroom assistance to students, which includes: assisting with class work and other assignments, administering tests, and tutoring students in small groups

-Assist administrators, teachers and other staff to ensure proper behavior and safety of students

-Works with various students to ensure learning is maximized

-Assists students, teachers, and other staff in daily activities related to assignment

-Provide supervision

-Operates and maintains equipment related to job assignment

Required:  Associates Degree or Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (a minimum of 60 semester credits or the amount required to complete two years of full-time enrollment as defined by the institution attended) or a passing score on paraprofessional assessment test.  Passing pre-employment physical.  Ability and interest to provide assistance to children with special needs.
