The SouthWest Metro Intermediate District #288 has an immediate and full-time Special Education Paraprofessional, One-on-One (1:1) opening for the RISE program located at St. Bonifacius School.

The RISE (Reaching Independence through Structured Environments) Program serves students at our St. Bonifacius location in (grades K-5). RISE is an Autism Program (ASD) and Developmental Cognitive/Behavioral Program (DCD).

Description:
Special Education Paraprofessional, 7 hours a day for 183 Contract Days. 
 
Efficiently and effectively assist in providing a well-organized, smoothly functioning program in a special education setting while working under the supervision of a supervising teacher.  Performs support work assisting students in meeting educational, communication, emotional, physical and behavioral goals of special needs students.  Works Individually or in small groups. 
 
Pay & Benefits: 
The starting pay at $20.00 per hour based on experience, with the opportunity to earn up to $4.80 more per hour when completing continuing education.  A competitive and comprehensive benefit package is also available.

Qualifications:
•          Two years of study at an institution of higher education (60 college credits) OR an Associate degree (or higher) OR the successful completion of the Paraeducator training and assessments (District funded).
•          The ability to obtain the PCA/CFSS certificate.
•          Experience working with students with significant disabilities is preferred, but not required.  
•          Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) required. Training is offered by the school district.
•          Must pass a background check.
•          Capable of discretion/confidentiality.
