Position Overview:
The Paraprofessional supports students and teachers by providing one-on-one or small group assistance, helping create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. You’ll collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure every student has the support they need to succeed.
This rewarding role allows you to support student development, build confidence, and contribute to the success of the classroom and school community. You’ll also have the opportunity to assist Special Education students in our dual language program. Key Responsibilities:

Support Special Education Students: You will assist students with special needs by implementing strategies, supporting emotional well-being, and offering personalized assistance as directed by the teacher or IEP (Individualized Education Plan).

Behavioral Support: Assist students in developing positive behaviors and social skills by providing guidance and support.

Student Monitoring: Observe and report on student progress, behavior, and needs, communicating effectively with teachers to ensure each student’s success.

Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, counselors, and other school staff to ensure students receive the best possible support and resources.

Administrative Support: Assist with record keeping, data collection, and other classroom-related administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience working with children or in a school setting is a plus.

Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping students reach their potential.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and families.

Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team environment.

Matoska will have a Dual Language Immersion program starting fall of 2025. Bilingual in Spanish and English is strongly preferred but not required.

Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail in a busy school environment.

Special Requirements:
Must pass MN Parapro test or hold AA/AS degree or have completed 60 semester creditsÂ
