Description

Position Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Director and/or building principal, the homebound teacher will provide education services to students who are unable to attend in person instruction due to health or other approved reasons. Homebound services occur after the school day, virtually. Students are afforded 5 hours of homebound services per day. The goal of homebound servcies is to provide support to students while they need to be out of school for an extended amount of time. Students are expected to independently work on an assignments as well outside of the five hours. 

We have current needs for homebound services for general and special education students. We encourage all who are intertested to apply. 

Qualifications:

  • Required Certification: K-12 Teaching elementary or secondary teaching license or K-12 MN licensure in on of the following licensure areas: Academic Behavior Strategist (ABS), Emotional Behavioral Disorder (EBD), Significant Learning Disabilities (SLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental/Cognitive Delay (DCD)

Essential Functions:

  • Provide instruction to students who are unable to attend school due to health or other approved circumstances. Work will be provided by the student’s teachers. The homebound teacher will facilitate the instruction.
  • Transfer completed work back to the school location.
  • Communicate with the student’s teachers on progress.

Hours

  • 5 hours per week. The opportunity for more hours may occur should there be more need for homebound services.

Compensation:

  • $37.00 per hour
