Position: Spartan Kids Summer Program Staff  (High School Aide)
School Name:  Spartan Kids School Age Child Care
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 5 – 7 hours per day
Start Date: June 10, 2024

Job Summary:
As a Spartan Kids Summer Program Staff (High School Aide), you will play a vital role in supporting the Lead and Assistant Teachers in creating a nurturing and educational environment for school-age children. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the teaching team, organizing supplies and projects, assisting with field trips, and ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all students and families. This dynamic position will require flexibility, organization, and a passion for working with children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with Lead and Assistant Teachers to understand daily tasks and priorities.
  • Set up supplies and project materials daily, ensuring a stimulating learning environment.

  • Assist with organizing and facilitating Friday field trips, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants.

  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for students and families, fostering positive relationships and a sense of belonging.

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the learning environment, including sanitizing surfaces and monitoring student activities.

  • Provide support to Lead and Assistant Teachers and students as needed throughout the day.

Qualifications:

  • Fun, nurturing, and caring attitude, with a genuine passion for working with children.

  • Highly organized and flexible, able to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.

  • Previous experience working with school-age children (ages 5-12) preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and interact positively with children and families.

  • Punctual and reliable, able to begin work shifts on time and fulfill scheduled hours.
