Position Overview:
This position works in the Spartan Kids’ Care is a school-age care program that is part of TriDistrict Community Education and Inver Grove Heights Schools. It operates year round in each of the elementary school buildings before and after school, on non-school days and during the summer for children in grades K-5. Programming is based on age-appropriate, multi-cultural themed, student driven activities.

What you bring along:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work with students in a firm but positive manner.
• Ability to intervene in student conflicts.
• Ability to problem solve in a quick, decisive manner.
• Ability to interact appropriately with adults.
• CPR training must be completed within 90 days of beginning date of employment.

What you will be doing:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental duties:
• Responsible for opening and closing the site as needed.
• Responsible for assisting with completing the site cross-off sheet.
• Responsible for assisting in planning program curriculum and other daily activities for the school year, summer and non-school program.
• Responsible for maintaining and upholding the behavior standards of the program.
• Responsible for completing necessary reports and discussing with lead/facilitator and making appropriate phone calls as needed.
• Responsible for daily site clean up and set up.
• Responsible for reading and initialing site communication book daily.
• Responsible for recording time worked in the log book as well as on your own time sheet.
• Responsible for following the staff and program guidelines as they are presented in the program guidelines handbook and district policies and procedures.
• Responsible for performing other duties as requested by the Director of Community Education and the Superintendent of Schools.

• Starting pay range would be $20.70 per hour
