Sound and Light Technician

Summary

Description

The light and sound technician works alongside the renter and, in some cases, additional technical staff, to setup and operate theatrical technical equipment.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Setup/teardown of dance flooring,
Setup/teardown of orchestra shell,
Operation of the fly system,
Operation of the lecture system,
Light and sound board proficiency,
Additional technical setup (ie – setting up monitors, setting up and/or focusing lights, etc).

Technicians should be attentive, cooperative, self motivated, and resourceful. While baseline knowledge of technical systems is helpful, all staff will receive in-house training.
