**JOIN OUR ASEC ASL INTERPRETING TEAM!**
Summary of Position: The Area Special Education Cooperative (ASEC) out of East Grand Forks is seeking a floating interpreter at ASEC's member districts to facilitate communication between students who are deaf and their peers, staff and other adults, using American Sign Language. The educational interpreter provides interpreting and support services (educational tutoring) to students who are D/HH being educated in their local school district. Other duties may be performed when they do not interfere with interpreting include tutoring, participation in meetings and being an active member of the school’s educational team. We currently have a team of interpreters for students who require communication access.
Certification Requirements:
Certified American Sign Language Interpreter (NAD, RID), National Interpreter Certification or Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) Certification.
Individuals pursuing certification may apply and mentoring will be provided.
