Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Current licensure by MDE in a special education teaching area; MN Teaching license in Emotional Behavioral Disorders or Academic Behavior Strategist licensure preferred. 

DESCRIPTION: SMEC is an education district made up of seven member districts that offer special education services and programming. Located at our SMEC Ed Center in Austin, MN, the qualified candidate will work with students in grades K-12 who have demonstrated behavioral and academic difficulties and require more structured and focused programming. This teacher will be responsible for managing a caseload of special education students and ensuring student needs are met per their Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Must be able to maintain all due process compliance including IEPs/evaluation reports and providing specialized instruction to qualifying students 

PAY AND BENEFITS: Competitive pay based on skills and experience.  Insurance benefits are available to full-time employees and part-time employees who work at least 30 hours per week.
