About Becker District/School: 

Becker School District is conveniently located off of US Hwy 10, just 20 minutes SE from St. Cloud and 45 minutes NW from the Twin Cities. The District consists of four buildings, all situated on a single, cohesive campus and serves approximately 2,800 students – Primary School (K-2), Intermediate School (3-5), Middle School (6-8), and High School (9-12). MIDDLE SCHOOL SCIENCE TEACHER, Grades 6-8

SUMMARY: The classroom teacher creates an engaging, nurturing and safe learning environment that allows students to develop their physical, social, and emotional wellbeing; providing instruction in academics, future ready skills, knowledge, and dispositions to be compassionate, lifelong-learners, and contributing citizens in a rapidly changing world.

QUALIFICATIONS: MN Teaching License with appropriate qualifications to teach middle school science
Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education, secondary science education, or an area of similar study
Ability to facilitate learning that incorporates student goal setting and reflection
A desire to design and execute learning that incorporates learner’s voice and choice
A desire to design learning that allows learners a varied pace in which they learn a new concept
Ability to develop positive relationships with students, colleagues and the school community
Ability to work well with others, resolve controversy and conflict through respectful negotiation, and accept constructive feedback
Strong communication skills to facilitate connection and sharing of thoughts and ideas in multiple formats with diverse audiences
Adept at problem-solving, resilient when faced with challenges, and skilled in planning and organization 
Experience working in a middle school setting preferred
