Salary: $72,795 (Salary will be prorated based on start date)
Hours/Start Date:  8 hrs/day Monday- Friday 8 hrs day (Position is full time/260 days from July – June) / July 1, 2024
Responsible To: Building Principal/Equity and Inclusion Supervisor
 
Position Purpose: The Restorative Practices Specialists works in partnership with the Climate and Culture Specialist and Equity Department to provide comprehensive and culturally competent restorative practices support to Eastern Carver County Schools to ensure the academic success of students, reduce disproportionate discipline, promote non-exclusionary discipline, and promote a positive and inclusive climate and culture. In addition, this person will help develop systems that elevate non-exclusionary discipline, which includes, but is not limited to re-teach lessons K-12, direct student support, coaching and mentoring of school staff and professional development district wide.
 
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of related work experience as a licensed teacher, school counselor, or social worker.
  • Equity and implicit bias training or experience.
  • Experience in Restorative Practices and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
  • Experience or training in trauma informed practices.
  •  Experience and ability to lead professional development for adult Learners
  •  Experience or training in circles, repairing harm and re-entry processes

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years’ experience in an educational or student support setting.
  •  Experience implementing/leading Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and whole building professional development.
  •  Experience coaching educators via Cognitive Coaching or similar model, through a racial equity lens.
  • Experience developing curriculum.
  • Experience working with students K-12 with specialized support potentially inclusive of English Language Learners, Special Education, and racially diverse settings.
  • Experience supervising staff.
  •  Experience with Educlimber, Infinite Campus and other data collection tools
