Description
Job Goal: To help students develop proficient reading skills using the science of reading.
Reading interventionists work extensively with students to help them improve specific reading skills such as letter-naming and letter-sounds, phonemic awareness, phonics, and comprehension strategies. An interventionist addresses the specific needs of an identified group of students when regular classroom instruction is not sufficient. Interventionists work in support of the Teacher job description.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Certification in K-8 elementary or reading specialist and special education.
