PRE-K – 6TH ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL
Bird Island-Olivia-Lake Lillian ISD 2534 (BOLD) is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to serve as the Pre-K through 6th Grade Principal for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This individual will be responsible for providing effective leadership, management, and support to ensure the success of our students, staff, and families.
Qualifications:
- Principal licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Minnesota (required)
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience (required), administrative experience preferred
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication skills with staff, students, and families
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of educators
- Positive attitude and strong commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive school culture
- Willingness to actively engage with the community and build positive relationships
- Demonstrated ability to make data-informed decisions to drive student achievement
- Knowledge of current educational trends, best practices, and state standards
- Proficiency in technology tools and systems relevant to educational administration
- Ability to have “tough conversations” with students, staff, and parents as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional leadership and support to teachers and staff in the Pre-K through 6th-grade levels
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes academic excellence, social-emotional development, and student engagement
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective academic programs and interventions to meet the needs of all students
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide feedback to teachers to support their professional growth and development
- Implement and monitor school-wide behavior management systems to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment
- Serve as a liaison between the school, district administration, and community stakeholders
- Lead and participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, and other school-related events
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or district leadership team
