PRE-K – 6TH  ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL

Bird Island-Olivia-Lake Lillian ISD 2534 (BOLD) is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to serve as the Pre-K through 6th Grade Principal for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This individual will be responsible for providing effective leadership, management, and support to ensure the success of our students, staff, and families.

Qualifications:

  • Principal licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Minnesota (required)
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience (required), administrative experience preferred
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, students, and families
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of educators
  • Positive attitude and strong commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive school culture
  • Willingness to actively engage with the community and build positive relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to make data-informed decisions to drive student achievement
  • Knowledge of current educational trends, best practices, and state standards
  • Proficiency in technology tools and systems relevant to educational administration
  • Ability to have “tough conversations” with students, staff, and parents as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide instructional leadership and support to teachers and staff in the Pre-K through 6th-grade levels
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes academic excellence, social-emotional development, and student engagement
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective academic programs and interventions to meet the needs of all students
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Conduct regular classroom observations and provide feedback to teachers to support their professional growth and development
  • Implement and monitor school-wide behavior management systems to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Serve as a liaison between the school, district administration, and community stakeholders
  • Lead and participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, and other school-related events
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or district leadership team
