New Ulm Public Schools is a regional center of educational excellence. Student success in academics, fine arts, and athletics are reasons students and families come to New Ulm.
We offer an early learning center for preschool and kindergarten students, including a community education center. This center includes many outdoor and indoor active learning spaces. Jefferson Elementary provides programming for grades 1-4, focusing on small group instruction, responsive classroom, STEM opportunities, and core curriculum. We offer a middle school structure and environment for grades 5-8, focused on advisory, exploratory, and experiential learning opportunities. Our high school is for grades 9-12, offering college, vocational, and work-ready courses. We have many opportunities for fine arts and athletics for all students. A Career Technical Education (CTE) Center provides students with opportunities in automotive, welding, manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, construction careers, and cabinetry.

Paraprofessional/Classroom Aide (Multiple Positions) – Middle School
Location:
New Ulm Middle School, 414 South Payne St., New Ulm
Job Summary:
Facilitate student academic growth and social growth by providing individual or small group support/reinstruction and service at the guidance/direction of certified staff. This position requires confidentiality, good communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility, teamwork, and knowledge of technology and may require heavy lifting.
Qualifications:
Desire to work with high school-aged students, build student relationships, and promote student achievement. Ability to follow and carry out the classroom teacher’s instructions; familiarity with computer use and good communication skills. High School Diploma or GED required.
Days/Hours:
Hours may vary slightly depending on students needs, but hours will generally be 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on all school days plus additional training dates as directed.
Start Date:
As agreed upon; 2024-2025 School Year
Wage:
Dependent upon experience; Starting wage $17.00/hour; Union Classification A13;
