When a paraprofessional needs to be out of the classroom, a responsible substitute paraprofessional is needed to carry out the educational program. As a substitute paraprofessional, you’ll become an important part of our school’s educational team, and you’ll enable the continuity of the learning experience for all students.

POSITION:

Paraprofessional Substitute

LOCATION:

District-wide (Opportunities are available at all building sites.  You will be able to select your preferred work location(s) once you are hired as a paraprofessional substitute.)

RATE OF PAY:

90% of range listed on MSEA Contract 

HOURS/DAY, DAYS/YEAR, 
START/END TIMES and WORKING DAYS/YEAR:


Varies per assignment.  (You can select from multiple daily opportunities to work as much as or as little as you would like.  It’s completely flexible based on your availability to work on a particular day.)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working with children.
  • Basic child development and educational background or knowledge is preferred, but not required.
  • Willingness to work with and show respect for students.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, patience, and flexibility.

*Hours and days of service are established by the school district and are subject to change according to district need.
