Description

The Fergus Falls School District is seeking to fill elementary para educator positions at McKinley School and Adams School for the 2024-25 school year. These positions are for 6.5 hours/day during student contact days.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The tasks listed below are not intended to limit other tasks that might reasonably be assigned as necessary.

  1. Works under direct supervision of certified staff.
  2. Assists in instruction of reading and math to target students.  Certified staff will determine instruction needed and how and where it will take place.
  3. Works in classrooms and/or small group settings.
  4. Assists with informal testing, objective testing, and instructional activities with certified staff .
  5. Works with the MAP testing building coordinator.
  6. Supervises students during noon hour and the playground as assigned. 
  7. Patrols the crosswalk in the mornings as children arrive at school. 
  8. Assists in the library: shelve books, check/out books, read stories to students, process new books and repair old books; assists library para with issues that arise during library time.
  9. In-service participation as required.
