POSITION:  Musical Director
 
REQUIREMENTS:  Onamia Public Schools is seeking a Musical Director for the 2024-2025 school year.  The Musical Director will coordinate the entire Fall Musical Production for Onamia High School. 
 
Responsibilities are as follows:
1. Obtain all necessary clearances.
2. Supervise the selection of a musical.
3. Research and analyze the musical, decide on the musical’s interpretation, and communicate the concept to staff members.
4. Establish a production plan with the other directors.  
5. Meet with student stage management team to establish a production plan
6. Oversee the set design for the production, providing original vision to set designer.
7. Prepare and hold meetings after school to recruit students in various areas
8. Provide students with show and casting information, as well as sessions to review audition material.
9. Run auditions and cast show.
10. Provide calendar updates  
11. Coordinate music schedules and preparation with vocal and instrumental directors.
12. Coordinate schedules with set construction – stage management, parent volunteers, and stage crew students.
13. Establish a rehearsal and dress/technical rehearsal schedule with parents, students, and staff
14. Run rehearsals.
15. Obtain a listing of equipment for the theatre, its working condition (i.e. microphones, lighting and sound boards, backdrops, etc.)
16. Supervise the set up for each performance: make-up, costumes, light, props, set pieces, and sound.
17. Complete all necessary forms as requested.
 
SALARY: Per Master Agreement
