Position Summary:
Assist the teacher with performing duties necessary to meet the educational needs of an individual or group of students. The Educational Assistant’s primary focus is on directly serving students or in preparation for meeting the student’s needs. The number of positions and placements will be based upon student enrollment. Successful candidates are required to attend an informational meeting and need to commit to all four weeks. Candidates may be required to ride the student bus. The only absences that will be approved during this time are for illness or emergencies. Multiple positions available.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), AA degree preferred. Bilingual communication skills desired.
Other Skills & Abilities:
Provide a variety of suggestions in working with students in the classroom setting. Maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding students. Perform duties within a tight daily schedule and with an awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
Hours/Schedule:
7:45 AM – 12:15 PM / Monday-Thursday / July 8 – August 1, 2024
Orientation is the morning of June 20th from 8-12 at McKinley Elementary
