Duty Days Per Year:  June – August, dependent on program needs

Hours Per Day: Hours will vary between 8.0 – 10.0 Thursdays and Fridays depending on field trips and program needs.

Salary:  $15.23 and up depending on qualifications

Supervisor of Position:  Christine Spindler-Schlottman, Kids Connection Program Manager

Qualifications:  We are looking for team-oriented individuals who are comfortable and experienced in working with children age 5.

  • 18 years of age or older, required.
  • Training and experience related to child development, child guidance, cultural dynamics, communication, and activities is desired.
  • Effective communication skills, good interpersonal skills with adults and children.
  • Help to establish a physical environment that encourages all children to assume responsibility for developing their social, physical and intellectual skills.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of creative and research based procedures for enabling special needs children to thrive at Kids Connection.        
  • First Aid and CPR Certification, preferred.
  • Knowledgeable about diabetes care

Summary of Duties:  
Summer Kids Connection is a child care program providing care for children 3 years through grade 5. Support Staff may work morning hours, afternoon hours, or full day hours. Support Staff may be asked to assist with the needs of one child or offer assistance to program staff and assist with behavioral, emotional, or physical needs of multiple children.
