Kid Zone Instructor 

Position Description/Qualifications:

  • This is a teaching position that assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of school age care and enrichment activities, programs and services to children grades K-5 in a safe and enriching environment.
  • Develops and implements age-appropriate theme based curriculum that aligns with the Minnesota School Age Indictors of Progress.
  • Delivers a high standard of customer service including serving as the primary contact for program specific needs, problem solving, conflict resolution and making accommodations for all participants.
  • Works directly with large and small groups of children in planned activities throughout a variety of settings, such as: classroom, cafeteria, gym, playground and while on field trips.
  • B.A. or B.S. Degree in Elementary Education (preferred)
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to work in settings of high volume.
  • Able to work outdoors in various kinds of weather.
  • Skilled in use of computer.

 Schedule:

  • 3.25 hours per day / Monday – Friday
  • 16.25 hours per week
  • 6:45 AM -10:00 AM 
  • 181 days plus field trips

Pay Range/Classification: 

  • $23.21 – $26.42 per hour depending on experience (Subject to change with the completion of the 2023 – 2025 Non-Licensed Instructors Agreement)
  • Non-Licensed Instructors Contract
