Instructional Paraprofessional

Salary Range:  $21.83– $23.82 per hour based on the 2021- 2023 salary schedules for district paraprofessionals.

Line of Supervision:  Reports directly to the Building Principal.
 
Qualifications:      

• Experience working with conflict resolution strategies preferred.
• Strong conflict management skills essential.
• Must demonstrate positive interpersonal skills and communicate effectively both verbally and written.
• Willingness to work in tutoring situations with a diverse group of students.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• A passion & experience working with a diverse student body
• Support students with academics and behavior.
• Working with elemementary grade students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning of skills introduced by teachers.
• Assisting the teacher/s in devising strategies for reinforcing skills based on understanding of students’ needs, interests and abilities.
• Guiding independent study, enrichment work and remedial work set up and assigned by the teachers.
• Participating in in-service training programs as assigned.
• Escort students to and from class, support classroom work and behavior support.
